Gaudenzia is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Utilization Review Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that individuals receive the most appropriate level of care for their substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Treatment Planning and Coordination: Develop and maintain efficient assessment procedures to quickly link individuals to the appropriate level of treatment.
- Client Care and Support: Treat all clients and staff with dignity and respect, and provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to individuals in crisis.
- Program Development and Implementation: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment programs that meet the unique needs of our clients.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date intake records, records of referral, and funding source documents are compiled and stored within the electronic health record system.
- Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding, referral, and regulatory agencies, and communicate effectively with clients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Education and Training: Must hold a degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a related field, such as substance abuse treatment, mental health, or healthcare services management.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures involved in treatment programs and continuum of care, as well as proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office programs.
