Job Summary:
Riggers play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment and materials. As a Rigger Journeyman, you will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading rigging tackle, as well as assisting in the selection of the appropriate equipment for the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams and ceilings, using bolts and clamps.
- Attach loads with appropriate rigging tackle to crane hooks.
- Give directions to crane operators to ensure the safety of workers and material handlers.
- Assist crane operators in the assembly and disassembly of cranes.
- Set up braces and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.
- Direct workers engaged in hoisting machinery and equipment.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
Requirements:
This role requires 48 months of industrial construction experience. You must be able to adhere to all safety procedures and work effectively in a team environment.
