Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Sports Book Teller to join our team at Boyd Gaming Corporation. As a Sports Book Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests while working in the function of writing and cashing Race and Sports tickets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inform guests of the rules of the sports book and ensure they understand various types of sports wagers, including limits on all propositions.
  • Accept and verify sports wagers, utilizing the race and sports computer system to generate tickets and cash winning tickets.
  • Prepare daily line sheets and schedules, and post opening and closing lines in the setup book.
  • Maintain accurate records of tickets sold on chart sheets and customer files, and complete tax and gaming regulation records and forms as needed.
  • Possess knowledge of satellite and cable television channels, and call the Main Cage for time clock verification every morning.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Experience in Sports Operations is preferred.
  • Ability to operate CMS and New Wave computer software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in English.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
