We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery Specialist to join our team at Reston Hospital Center. As a key member of our maternal child health team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication administration, and other aspects of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal care.
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment
- At least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
