RN Manager for Emergency Room Department

We are seeking an experienced RN Emergency Room Manager to lead our team and ensure exceptional patient care at our hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the management of the Emergency Room unit in the absence of the Director.
- Plan for adequate resources based on workload and extraneous activities to ensure efficient patient care.
- Develop, review, and revise unit standards to maintain high-quality patient care.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and evaluating staff to ensure licensure, competencies, and mandatory training are current.
- Facilitate the orientation of new employees, students, and volunteers to ensure a smooth transition.
- Maintain open communication with other departments to coordinate efficient patient care and provide a great patient experience.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program.
- BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- Minimum 1 year of ER management experience.
