Emergency Medicine Specialist in Baghdad, Iraq

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As an Emergency Medicine Specialist with Acuity International, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality medical care to patients in need.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for treating patients in various settings, including non-surgical/field medical care clinics or small medical/trauma hospitals. You will ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, as well as coordinate with local hospitals to determine local capabilities and arrange final disposition. In some cases, you may be required to stabilize patients and coordinate their evacuation to a medevac center or CONUS.
As an Emergency Medicine Specialist with Acuity International, you will have the opportunity to work in a leadership role, serving as both a Physician and Site Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer in support of a Program Manager. You will provide a US standard of care for our patient care/treatment model and maintain the highest regard for patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Associations Bill of Rights for patients.
You will also be responsible for documenting care delivered and follow-up care required, attending and participating in various meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicating issues, obtaining approvals, resolving problems, and maintaining specific knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
Requirements- Must hold and maintain board certification as defined in scope referenced above:American Board of Family Medicine Specialist (ABFM or ABMS)American Board of Emergency Medicine Specialist (ABEM)American Board of Internal Medicine Specialist (ABIM)
- 3 years minimum as a US licensed attending Physician is required with additional training and/or experience in GYN, dermatology, ENT, pulmonary, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, medical, surgical, orthopedic, psychiatric, and trauma emergency also required.
- Must hold a current and unrestricted US State Medical License. State licenses must be in good standing, without restrictions, and kept current through the period of employment.
- Must have and maintain current certification:Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)Basic Life Support (BLS)DEA License
- Must have a valid US passport
- Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or comparable advanced trauma course featuring "live tissue" or exceptional simulation training is preferred.
- Must have current clinical experience in last 6 months with direct patient care as an attending Physician.

SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
