Job Summary:

HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled AWS Certified Welding Inspector to join our team of professionals in the Buffalo, NY area. As a Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections during the fabrication of structural steel, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of welds to ensure compliance with AWS D1.5 standards
  • Verify the quality of welds, including visual and dimensional inspections
  • Document inspection results and provide reports to management
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Valid AWS CWI certification
  • Demonstrated experience in quality inspection of welds according to AWS D1.5 standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently
  • Visual acuity requirements encompass color and depth perception, as well as field of vision
