Imaging Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Imaging Specialist to join our team at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using computerized tomography (CT) technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist and position patients on the CT table
Start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary
Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed
Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions
Turn over and prepare rooms using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

Prefer graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
BCLS required within 30 days of start date
Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning
On-call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
