Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Court Administrator to join our team at Morgan County Superior Court II. As a key member of our staff, you will provide administrative support to the court and serve as a backup Bailiff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date court records and data entries in case management software.
  • Manage the court's calendar, schedule hearings, and communicate with attorneys and other parties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
  • Process and distribute court orders, warrants, summons, and other documents.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two to four months of clerical or data entry experience.
  • Knowledge of standard practices and procedures of the court, legal terminology, and standard legal documents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a courtroom environment, involving sitting, walking, and standing for long periods. The incumbent may be exposed to irate or difficult individuals and must be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
