Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality x-ray images of patients, ensuring clear and undistorted films. Your expertise will be essential in providing patient-centered care while demonstrating our values of Integrity, Trust, Excellence, Accountability, and Mutual Respect.
Key Responsibilities- Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films.
- Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures.
- Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.
- Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.
- Maintain X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
- Current license/certification in the state of practice, required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, required.
- At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience, preferred.
- Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling, Standing, Walking.
