We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of the Levy team, you will be responsible for setting menu standards, training team members, and being the face of our brand on social media.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be a food and beverage leader with commercial acumen, who can motivate team members to deliver their best. They will oversee all aspects of a safe and sanitary culinary department, work closely with purchasing and finance teams, and build and develop the on-site culinary team.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve high standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve food and financial performance
  • Oversee kitchen safety and sanitation procedures
  • Work with purchasing and finance teams to create a competitive menu offer
  • Develop and manage the on-site culinary team
  • Collaborate with regional and Home Office culinary teams to evolve the food experience
  • Support revenue growth through social media activities
  • Maintain equipment and ensure efficient operations
  • Manage par levels and scheduling to optimize sales forecasts
  • Design and update menus to meet guest preferences and trends
  • Develop recipe specifications and partner with purchasing to source products
  • Implement routine kitchen management procedures
  • Create customized group sales/event menus with sales teams
  • Set standards for chef table setups and prep sheets
  • Deliver training and coaching to team members on menu and culinary skills
  • Manage team breaks and maintain a healthy work environment
  • Attend location management meetings to collaborate with other departments
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to set event tone
  • Conduct progressive discipline to address performance issues
  • Complete onboarding and orientation for new culinary team members
  • Ensure high standards in food ordering, delivery, preparation, transportation, and service
  • Respond promptly to communication and emails
  • Analyze calorific content of menu items according to FDA guidelines
  • Partner with purchasing and operations teams to prevent loss and waste
  • Collaborate with other departments on community outreach programs
  • Manage support travel for team members
  • Manage culinary department budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a culinary position
  • Taste and evaluate food and beverage products
  • A culinary degree is preferred
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Understanding of financial concepts
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in social media is preferred
