Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternity Nurse to join our team at Bryan Health. As a Maternity Nurse, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in the maternity services department, including labor, delivery, postpartum, triage, and NICU. You will work closely with physicians, Nurse Managers, and other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care in the maternity services department, including labor, delivery, postpartum, triage, and NICU.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, Nurse Managers, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assess and reassess patients' conditions, identifying and addressing any changes or concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in maternal and child health care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Nebraska Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS and NRP certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Has attended a Fetal Monitoring course within the last 2 years, or willingness to attend within 6 months of hire.
  • Currently holds Fetal Monitoring or Inpatient OB Certification, or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire.
