Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Newly Weds Foods. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of tools, parts, and supplies for our Maintenance, Packaging, Engineering, Sanitation, Safety, and Production departments.

• Manage the purchasing of tools, parts, and supplies for various departments
• Work with external vendors to negotiate prices and manage budgets
• Utilize the CMMS system to maintain accurate inventory records and perform periodic cycle counting
• Perform data entry tasks in SAP and MP2 systems, including time accounting and equipment inventory
• Generate MP2 preventative maintenance tasks for department employees and outside contractors
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Review and execute the Food Safety Plan and MFP Mission Statement to ensure compliance and quality
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor

• Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with various levels of professionals

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am. The successful candidate will be required to attend work as scheduled and be able to lift and move equipment as needed.
