We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Micro Lab Scientist to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. in Gaylord, Minnesota.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing media preparation, quality control functions, and laboratory procedures to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality in egg processing and distribution.

Responsibilities:
  • Media preparation, including pre-poured plates and sterility testing
  • Samples analysis using gene-trak technology
  • Data entry on computer systems
  • Performing rapid tests and plating procedures on raw materials and swabs
  • Inventory management and ordering of lab supplies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and GMPs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
