Hotel Room Attendant Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team at New Castle Hotels & Resorts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional cleanliness and comfort to our guests by maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms, making beds, changing linens, cleaning, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming.
  • Earn a reputation for precision by ensuring windows are shining, towels are folded correctly, supplies are restocked, closets are neat and clean with the right amount of hangers, and so on.
  • Organize your housekeeping closet and cart area to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with your coworkers by pitching in, training new staff, participating in department events, and helping to create a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Serve as a Housekeeping Ambassador by sharing a warm greeting and a smile with all the guests you encounter.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by following your hotel's established safety and security policies & procedures and anticipating potential problems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need Basic English communication skills, the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. You will also need to be able to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels, and have Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range. Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning. Ability to multi-task.
