Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to function as a dynamic member of the patient care team. As a Fertility Nurse Specialist, you will provide treatment, education, and guidance to fertility patients throughout their journey. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Contributing to providers' effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary pertinent to patient care plan; recommending possible options and courses of action as appropriate; implementing provider directives
  • Implementing patient diagnostic and clinical treatment plans in accordance with the patient's identified needs and treatment goals
  • Serving as liaison between provider, patient, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate services. Resolving patient problems and concerns by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies; Optimizing the patient experience.
  • Providing care for assigned patients following RMA protocols and standard procedures; applying appropriate workflows; following charting processes; maintaining performance benchmarks
  • Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients; comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering questions and concerns
  • Providing patient education throughout all aspects of the treatment journey. Setting appropriate expectations, educating the patient/couple on available testing and treatments options and RMA processes. Providing supplemental educational resources as appropriate through the Patient Education Hub and other available platforms.
  • Following up on and communicating laboratory values and semen analysis, embryology and genetic results to patients.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care services in the EMR system. Ensuring documentation meets current legal standards and policies.
  • Participating in the orientation of new personnel. Precepting and mentoring peers. Promoting collaborative teamwork. Maintaining a cooperative and productive working relationship intra-departmentally as well as inter-departmentally.
  • Adapting to changing patient or organizational priorities. Demonstrating ability and willingness to self-motivate, prioritize and change processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Demonstrating skills and judgment necessary to implement the plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures, as necessary for the care and safety of the patient.
  • Assuming accountability for quality of care provided.
  • Demonstrating ability to manage conflict, stress and multiple simultaneous work demands in an effective and professional manner.
  • Continually seeking new knowledge and learning pertinent to the treatment of the fertility patient.
  • Assisting physician with in-office procedures as needed

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A BSN degree or active RN license without limitations - required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - required
  • Flexibility to work weekdays with weekends and rotational holidays - required
  • Excellent listening/counseling/interpersonal, and communications skills to manage sensitive patient situations properly - required
  • 2-3 years' experience as an RN - preferred
  • Prior experience in women's healthcare - preferred
  • BCLS and/or ACLS and/or IV certification - preferred
  • High energy, excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic - required
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - preferred
  • Travel to either HQ located in Basking Ridge or satellite offices - as needed
