Position Overview:
At Summit Medical Management, LLC, we are dedicated to assisting individuals who struggle with persistent back pain. We are in search of a committed Advanced Practice Provider to become an integral part of our Spine team. This role will involve conducting independent clinics for patients undergoing Neurosurgery and providing surgical assistance as required. In this capacity, you will deliver exceptional, patient-focused care, working in close collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough health evaluations, including comprehensive medical history assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
- Create and execute personalized treatment strategies tailored to patient requirements, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical protocols.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments within the defined scope of practice and in compliance with state regulations.
- Conduct minor medical procedures and interventions, including wound management, suturing, and injection administration.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Accurately document patient interactions in electronic medical records, adhering to both regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, research endeavors, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practices and patient outcomes.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices, pharmacology, and healthcare technologies through continuous education and training.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Kansas or eligibility for licensure.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and board certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
- Strong dedication to patient advocacy, quality healthcare delivery, and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in spine care or surgical settings.
- Prior experience in a medical office environment.
Working Environment:
This role encompasses various settings, including medical offices, clinical rehabilitation areas, acute care facilities, and outdoor environments, with potential off-site work and travel. There may be exposure to hazardous materials, blood, and bodily fluids. The position requires constant interaction with colleagues, patients, vendors, and the public, which may include individuals who are distressed or unwell.
Physical Demands:
This position is primarily active, requiring walking, bending, stooping, crawling, squatting, and lifting up to 75 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary for interfacing with computers and other operational systems. Auditory acuity is essential for effective communication with patients and the public.
