About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiology Technologist to join our Heart and Vascular team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing procedures, operating equipment, and recording results in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform exams as directed by physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Assist physicians directly, utilizing sterile technique for invasive procedures.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.
  • Participate in equipment assessment and quality control with the department manager.
  • Take emergency calls after hours and on weekends as needed.
  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies and proficiency with inventory management systems.
  • Notify personnel to ensure proper equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in other areas of Heart and Vascular as needed.
  • Conduct patient education, screening, and scheduling.
  • Assist with procedure setup and execution, as well as patient transportation.
  • Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training to maintain licensure and position-specific competencies.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (ARRT), in good standing.
  • Current state licensure (RL).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography: (R)(CV)(ARRT) is preferred.
  • One or two years of experience as a diagnostic technologist or one year of experience in special procedures is preferred.
Physical Requirements

This role requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting or assisting with lifting patients of varying weights, and manipulating equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
