Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Wheeling Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Utilize quality aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field and prevent infection.
- Assist with gowning and gloving surgeons, positioning equipment, and operating specialty equipment.
- Prepare supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, following established protocols.
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies, instruments, and equipment as needed.
- Perform equipment checks and assist with clerical work and record-keeping duties.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, or completion of a Registered Nurse program.
- Two years of previous scrub experience or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program.
- Surgical Technology experience preferred.
