Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Scheduler Supervisor to join our team at Cook County Health and Hospitals. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for supervising clerical and scheduling staff, ensuring the efficient operation of our radiology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the work of clerical and scheduling staff to ensure timely and accurate patient scheduling and registration.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly schedules and daily assignments for clerical and scheduling staff.
  • Approve time off requests and ensure adequate staffing levels in the radiology department.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Manager III to provide monthly scheduling updates and maintain accurate timekeeping records.
  • Perform evaluations and provide training to new clerical and scheduling staff.
  • Assist with scheduling and registering patients in emergency situations and maintain radiology upgrades to the Radiology Information System (RIS) system.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) or similar scheduling software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) or similar scheduling software such as Cerner.
  • Prior experience in a union environment.
