Porter/Janitor

We are seeking a skilled Porter to join our multi-family residential property team in Bakersfield, CA.

• Maintain the property's interior and exterior to ensure a clean and neat appearance.
• Clean, sweep, and remove trash and litter from grounds, parking areas, pool areas, common areas, amenities, and other assigned work areas.
• Clean, vacuum, dust, mop, and remove trash and litter from offices, models, clubhouses, equipment rooms, public hallways, restrooms, amenities, common areas, and all other areas assigned.
• Perform casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager following appropriate safety procedures.
• Routinely inspect common areas to ensure they are maintained clean and in an aesthetically appealing condition.
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor all problems, including items that may not be on the list of responsibilities.
• Maintain working relationships with fellow staff members.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Observe all State, Federal, and Company safety standards/precautions while performing tasks in order to maintain a safe work environment.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two (2) years related experience in apartment maintenance or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills.
