Position Title: Adjunct Instructor - Medical Assisting

Job Overview:

This role involves delivering educational instruction within the Medical Assisting program. The instructor will engage with students through a structured curriculum while fostering an environment conducive to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver instructional content for a range of 3 to 14 contact hours weekly.
  2. Provide one hour of Skills Assistance for every five instructional hours assigned.
  3. Allocate one hour for administrative duties for every five instructional hours assigned.
  4. Stay updated with current trends and knowledge in the field of Medical Assisting.
  5. Contribute to the ongoing development and assessment of the curriculum.
  6. Participate in essential college events, including staff meetings and training sessions.
  7. Employ active learning strategies and authentic assessments to enhance student outcomes.
  8. Comply with all operational policies and procedures as outlined in institutional documentation.

Skills:

Preferred: Attention to detail (Intermediate level)

Education:

Required: A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.

Experience:

Required: Candidates must possess an earned Master's degree in biology, anatomy, physiology, zoology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic, respiratory therapy, speech-language pathology, nursing, or a doctorate in medicine (M.D.).

Licenses & Certifications:

Preferred: Additional certifications relevant to the field may be advantageous.
