Job Summary

The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for assisting with the care and safety of patients in the endoscopy suite. This role involves supporting physicians with endoscopy procedures, processing endoscopy equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with endoscopy procedures
  • Clean and disinfect endoscopes and equipment
  • Process and maintain endoscopy equipment and supplies
  • Update and maintain documentation related to endoscopy procedures
  • Perform specimen handling and processing
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control principles, and endoscopy equipment maintenance
