Job Overview:


We are seeking a skilled financial controller to oversee all facets of financial administration, encompassing regulatory and financial reporting, budget formulation, and forecasting, alongside the establishment of internal control policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Prepare and disseminate timely monthly financial reports
  • Coordinate the generation of regulatory reports
  • Investigate technical accounting matters for compliance
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure quality assurance over financial transactions and reporting
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal reporting obligations and tax submissions
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to reinforce internal controls
  • Supervise a team of accountants and bookkeepers
  • Perform additional controller responsibilities as required
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting on variances
  • Collaborate with the tax team for any federal or state tax return submissions.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller
  • 5+ years of combined experience in accounting and finance
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • CPA, CA, or CMA preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, specifically US GAAP
  • Experience in creating financial statements
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process
  • Proficient in accounting software usage and administration

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CA, CPA, or CMA

Skills:

  • Proficient in general computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Accounting Tools:
Familiarity with accounting software packages such as Xero and QuickBooks

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Highly organized in document management with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

  • Must be dependable, a strong team player, and maintain a positive attitude in all circumstances
