Quest Diagnostics is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II P/T to join our team. As a Phlebotomist II P/T, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient service centers and mobile locations.
Responsibilities:- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Administer oral solutions as required.
- Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems.
- Enter patient registration and test orders into our database.
- Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and freezing.
- Perform departmental-related clerical duties, such as data entry and inventory management.
- Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data.
- Complete training courses and stay up-to-date with the latest phlebotomy techniques.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
- Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a patient service center environment.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
- Lift light to moderately heavy objects.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand.
- Position requires travel.
- Extensive use of phone and PC.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.
