Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical exams, obtain medical histories, and record findings.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures to determine preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans.
  • Administer medications and injections in accordance with state law and clinic guidelines.
  • Provide patient education on health and illness prevention, as well as recommend community resources to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians to manage acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
Requirements:
  • BSN, MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of nurse practitioner experience.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred.
  • Maintains valid RN license for the state of North Carolina.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations to provide and evaluate patient care.
  • Knowledge of how to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards, react calmly and effectively in emergencies, and interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Environmental/Working Conditions:

Combination of exam rooms and medical offices. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Physical/Mental Demands:

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires working under stress in emergencies and irregular hours.
