We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant Education. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing individualized and small group instruction to students with special needs in a resource setting.
Key Responsibilities- Instructional Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and tailor instructional materials to meet students' unique needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress and address any academic or behavioral challenges.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies and materials.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress.
- Professional Development: Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
- Certification: Valid LBS1 Certification.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience working with middle school students in a special education setting.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students.
- Classroom Environment: Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
