Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Apply and manage mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners, recommending adjustments to improve clinical condition, patient comfort and to expedite the weaning process.
  • Assemble, disassemble, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, clean and perform adjustments in the applications of durable medical equipment and circuitry used in the delivery of respiratory care as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform patient assessments and evaluates patient response to care provided, making recommendations to physicians regarding the plan of care, appropriate use of respiratory therapy and modification of therapy as clinical condition changes. Documents therapy provided in an accurate and complete manner in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.
  • Communicates and collaborates with resource staff in formulating care plans, recommendations for change in therapy and identification/resolution of problems and when confronted with unfamiliar situations, procedures and techniques.
  • Monitors daily workflow of departmental processes, and works assigned shifts in areas of oversight. Maintains skills to perform all functions in area of oversight. Acts as a subject matter expert and resource for departmental staff.
Job Qualifications:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • State licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range based on experience:

  • 1 year: $26.05
  • 2-3 years: $27.17
  • 4-5 years: $28.30
  • 6-7 years: $29.42
  • 9-10+ years: $30.54
  • 16+ years: $33.59

We also offer a sign-on bonus of $15,000 and relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.

Additionally, we offer night differential of $2.33/hour and weekend differential of $2/hour.
