Position Overview:

Are you ready to contribute to a vital industry? We are seeking a dedicated Utility Construction Laborer to assist in our mission of enhancing telecommunications infrastructure across the nation. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various labor tasks related to utility construction under the guidance of a Foreman or Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute digging operations using both manual tools and mechanical equipment.
- Assist in the installation and upkeep of underground telecommunications cabling.
- Navigate in and out of various machinery including trucks, backhoes, and trenchers.
- Collaborate safely around heavy machinery and equipment.
- Work effectively in both congested and remote locations.
- Maintain clear visual and audible communication with team members and surrounding personnel to ensure safe operations.
- Carry out general construction duties as directed by supervisory staff.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment in compliance with all regulations and policies.

Candidate Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Possess a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Familiarity with operating various utility vehicles and equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and their safe usage.
- Previous experience in utility construction is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret utility maps and prints.
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
- Capable of lifting and carrying weights of up to 75 lbs as necessary.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call as needed.
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
