Role Summary

Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health is seeking a Speech Therapist - Jefferson Health to join our team.

Overview

The Speech Therapist - Jefferson Health will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and discharging patients referred for speech language pathology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, and outpatient settings as appropriate.
  • Participate in student education and training, including ICE, OT level 1, or full-time students.
  • Participate in education and teaching commensurate with novice clinicians.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs to help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate.
  • Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and trainings for patients and families.
  • Record and document clients/patients#39; health progress information for evaluation, therapeutic interventions, daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.

Requirements

  • Masterrsquo;s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • 0-2 years of clinical practice required, with 1 year preferred.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • PA State License required.
  • BLS, CPR certification required.
