Meat Cutter

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at KJ's Market. This role involves actively supporting the profitable operations of the meat department through sales maximization, production standards, and delivering yield standards from primals.

Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service by being polite, friendly, and responsive to customer needs.
• Cuts, weighs, and trims products according to company standards to ensure high-quality presentation.
• Pricing, stocking, and rotating frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case to maintain an attractive display.
• Maintains high sanitation standards in the cooler, sales, and prep areas to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensures high-quality, freshness, and properly dated product availability for sale.
• Communicates temperature failures to supervisors promptly.
• Announces meat department sale items on the public address system.
• Assists in receiving and storing products.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
• Able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat cutting experience is preferred but not required.
