- Role Summary
This position is pivotal in executing the crop underwriting strategy by facilitating business expansion and nurturing relationships within designated agencies. The focus is on applying informed judgment to underwrite policies that enhance a profitable portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
•Ensure thorough and precise processing of policies by reviewing applications, policy modifications, actual production history (APH), acreage reports (AR), and collecting any outstanding information while resolving discrepancies and confirming subsequent actions.
•Generate status reports and monitor the policy lifecycle to ensure timely completion, thereby preventing lapses in coverage and avoiding penalties.
•Support claims and compliance teams by executing transactions within the designated scope of responsibility.
•Scrutinize all written agreement documents prior to submission.
•Monitor and manage the routing of written agreements to guarantee prompt processing.
•Amend errors and address issues highlighted in the FCIC Error Report.
•Respond effectively to inquiries regarding crop hail from key stakeholders.
•Provide training to local departments or remote personnel, including agents, and mentor staff on company and industry protocols.
•Undertake specific tasks assigned by management that pertain to regional specialty crops, including roles such as perennial underwriter or master yield certification.
•Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for IT updates related to processing.
•Foster a positive workplace culture by exemplifying core values and encouraging others to appreciate performance, accountability, diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
•Utilize diverse resources to research and address crop insurance inquiries.
•Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of crop insurance.
•Deliver outstanding customer service.
•Adhere to deadlines established by Risk Management Agency (RMA) policies and procedures.
Education Requirements
•High School Diploma/GED

•4 years of relevant experience

•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
•In-depth knowledge of common computer, software, and communication technology.
•Proficient in Easy Mapping, Easy Hail, On Base, Easy Quote, and workflow systems.

Base pay will vary based on education, experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs.
