Dental Hygienist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dental Care At Oyster Point. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and education.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • Collaborate with our dental team to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Current dental hygienist license in Virginia.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
