Medical Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Alpine Physician Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical services staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for visits by reviewing and updating their records, ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date.
  • Maintain exam rooms according to protocols, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Provide initial medical screening, taking vital signs and documenting patient information accurately.
  • Assist physicians and mid-level providers during patient examinations, following generally accepted medical standards.
  • Utilize time efficiently, assisting with duties such as restocking rooms and supplies, and ensuring all areas are clean and orderly.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take medical histories and understand provider instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff, demonstrating diplomacy and tact.
  • Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
  • Flexibility regarding job duties and assignments, with a willingness to cross-train within other departments.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a high-stress environment.
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work with ethnically diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of Universal Precautions and confidentiality standards, as set forth by HIPAA.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish and other languages strongly preferred.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, insurance, and ability to travel as required.
