Clinical Operations Assistant

About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Tidelands Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office and assist with patient care management.
Responsibilities:- Patient Care Management: Rooming patients, performing data collections, vitals, EMR input, pre-registering and scheduling moderately complex procedures, coordinating multiple resources for patient services.
- Administrative Support: Preparing and administering medications with physician's authorization, completing medical forms, obtaining referrals/authorizations, retrieving lab and x-ray reports, calling in prescriptions.
- Communication: Conducting pre-visit planning, triaging incoming phone calls, providing patient education on diagnosis management, medication management, home treatment, and diets.
- Clinical Support: Assisting physicians with patient set-up and preparations, compiling and summarizing information for care providers, ordering medical and office supplies.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least two years of related customer-facing experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Licensure/Certification: Certification from nationally recognized agency required (e.g., National Healthcareer Association - Medical Assistant Certification, American Medical Technologists - Medical Assistant).
- Skills: Ability to interact successfully with the public, perform effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities, demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills, use initiative and judgment, identify, analyze, and solve problems.
- Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
