We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Flagger to join our team at Stripe Rite in Kennewick, WA. As a Traffic Control Flagger, you will be responsible for directing vehicles around construction sites, placing barricades, sign boards, and traffic cones, and maintaining the flow of traffic.
Key Responsibilities- Directing vehicles around construction sites
- Placing barricades, sign boards, and traffic cones
- Maintaining the flow of traffic
- Closing lanes in case of emergency or maintenance work
- Directing vehicles as needed
- Setting up traffic cones and signs
- Answering questions about detours
- Contacting team members about traffic concerns
- Removing barricades, traffic cones, and sign boards after work completion
- Maintaining records of vehicles disobeying traffic signs and signals
- Informing construction workers about traffic issues
- Communicating efficiently with other flaggers via handheld devices
- Reporting to site supervisors and law enforcement officers
- Using hand signals and signs to direct traffic
- Adhering to company rules and regulations
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Work experience as a Flagger or similar position in the construction industry a plus
- Valid/active driver's license without restrictions
- Knowledge of safety and traffic control devices
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for long periods
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of traffic rules a plus
- Ability to solve problems
- Proficiency in non-verbal communication
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- A close eye for details
- Current Traffic Control Certificate and reliable work history
