Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team at Answers in Genesis Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, attractive, and efficient work environment for our staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks in offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and use hand tools of trade to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed, and maintain an inventory of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed, including setup and breakdown.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues to the Director of Facilities & Construction.
  • Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in light maintenance and janitorial services preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written directions.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40+ lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Reliable transportation and current driver's license with good driving record.
  • Basic skills with computers.
  • Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church.
