To provide comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care to patients. Conduct patient examinations, prescribe medications, and provide consultation and medical treatment as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide surgical and/or non-surgical work-up, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources.
- Provide appropriate consultations, referrals, and follow-up care based on patients' needs.
- Exercise sound medical judgment in all issues of healthcare.
- Order studies, tests, and ancillary services as necessary.
- Utilize electronic medical records, including CPOE.
- Consult with Medical Director, other physicians, or mid-level providers as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited school.
- Completion of Residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in area of specialty, licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina.
- BLS Required.
