Position Overview

The Beverage Specialist is responsible for the setup, preparation, and service of drinks while ensuring a safe and efficient bar environment. This role includes processing guest checks and payments in accordance with established cash handling and accounting procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and arrange the bar in alignment with company policies and brand standards.
  2. Craft and serve beverages while adhering to proper food handling techniques and local regulations.
  3. Alert management immediately regarding any incidents of potential excessive alcohol consumption.
  4. Handle guest transactions accurately, ensuring compliance with cash handling and credit card processing protocols.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including proper disposal of waste and management of glassware.
  6. Exhibit a consistently professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma coupled with formal bartending training is required. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred. Certification in alcohol awareness and familiarity with hospitality industry standards is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly disposition.
  • Proficient in preparing a variety of mixed drinks and beverages.
  • Knowledgeable about food handling and compliance with serving regulations.
