ETL Tester

At Georgia IT Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled ETL Tester to join our Data Engineering Scrum Team. As an ETL Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our data processing and transformation pipelines.

1. Database Expertise: Strong working experience with Oracle, AWS Redshift, and MS SQL Server databases, with high proficiency in complex SQL scripting to validate source/target data load and transformation.
2. Big Data Pipeline Testing: Experience in testing big data pipelines with Hadoop/Spark framework in AWS cloud infrastructure.
3. Spark DataFrame API: Knowledge of applying Spark DataFrame API concepts using PySpark to complete data manipulation tasks.
4. Business Intelligence: Very good understanding of business intelligence concepts, architecture, and building blocks in areas of ETL processing, data warehousing, dashboards, and analytics.
5. Scripting and Automation: Good to have knowledge in scripting languages like Python to create automated test scripts or automated tools like TOSCA.
6. Functional Knowledge: Good to have some functional knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Oracle Eloqua Marketing application.
7. Testing Expertise: Experience in different types of testing, including Black Box testing, Smoke testing, Functional testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression testing, and User Acceptance testing (UAT).
8. SDLC and STLC: Hands-on experience and strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) on Agile Scrum environments.
9. Test Case Management: Expertise in using JIRA and Excel for writing test cases and tracking defects.
10. Defect Triage: Participate in defect triaging during major releases and track defects for resolution/conclusion.
11. Communication and Analytical Skills: An effective communicator with strong analytical abilities combined with skills to plan, implement, and present projects.
