Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician to join our team at Superior Industries Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating steel parts to meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and weld pre-fabricated steel parts into finished sub-assemblies
- Read and interpret detailed drawings and dimension styles to ensure accurate fabrication
- Prepare weld surfaces and determine welder settings as required
- Apply proper welding techniques for various positions and materials
- Verify final weld penetration and aesthetics to ensure quality standards are met
- Update paperwork to reflect any changes or modifications
- Operate and maintain equipment safely, including welders, ironworkers, band saws, drill presses, and other machinery
- Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for jib overhead cranes and forklifts
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the production team
Requirements
- Quick learner with ability to follow direction and instructions
- Capable of welding to 1G certification standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment
