Job Overview
The Part-Time Enrollment Specialist for Adult Learning serves as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to Adult Education ESOL/GED class schedules and associated fees. This role is essential in assisting students to ensure the smooth functioning of the Adult Education program.

This position collaborates closely with campus staff to enhance student services.



Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution; or an Associate's degree.
- Proficient in computer operations and keyboarding skills.
- Customer service experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and assisting the public through phone and in-person interactions in a courteous and professional manner.
- Taking messages via telephone.
- Scheduling clients for the CASAS/TABE Assessment and facilitation appointments.
- Providing support to adjunct instructors with electronic attendance tracking.
- Contacting students with excessive absences.
- Assisting in maintaining departmental files and records in accordance with confidentiality policies.

Specific Duties:
- Managing multi-line telephone systems and addressing inquiries related to the ESOL/GED program.
- Maintaining Outlook calendars and organizing new intake facilitation appointments.
- Making reminder calls for scheduled CASAS/TABE Tests.
- Inputting student applications, CASAS/TABE Scores, Student Data Summary Forms, and special designators into the college's registration system.
- Assisting students with registration, scheduling, holds and edits, transient student processes, student schedules, residency-for-tuition purposes, and program changes.
- Performing filing, copying, and sorting of mail.
- Understanding college organization, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrating strong customer service skills.
- Exhibiting a superior ability to learn program details.
- Knowledge of class offerings in the Adult Education Program.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to project a positive image of the college and its programs.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi-ethnic, and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff.
- Providing initial assistance to students regarding web admission queries.
- Ensuring accurate processing of related admissions and registration records requests.
- Completing other assigned tasks as directed.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, stoop, and occasionally carry items exceeding twenty-five (25) pounds.

Manual dexterity is necessary to operate standard office equipment, including copiers, faxes, calculators, telephones, and other relevant tools.
