Job Summary

As an Ammunition Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient storage, distribution, and documentation of ammunition. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of ammunition storage facilities to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols
• Maintain accurate records of ammunition inventory, including receipt, storage, and issuance
• Operate automated and manual ammunition management systems to track and manage inventory
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment

Get Paid to Learn

In the Army National Guard, you will learn valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training for an Ammunition Specialist consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, as well as seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
