Cabinetmaker
Job Summary
At Dillon Creations Inc, we are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinet fabrication and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Cuts, shapes, and assembles cabinets to meet specifications
Verifies dimensions and checks the quality or fit of pieces to ensure a tight fit and quality product
Sets up or operates machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, or shapers to cut, mold, or shape wood or wood substitutes
Measures and marks dimensions of parts prior to cutting to ensure a snug fit and quality product
Reinforces joints with nails or other fasteners to prepare cabinets for finishing
Attaches parts to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps
Establishes the specifications of cabinets to be constructed or repaired
Uses blueprints to shape or assemble parts
Cuts timber to the right size and shape and trims parts of joints to ensure a snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files
Matches materials for color, grain, or texture
Trims, sands, or scrapes surfaces or joints to prepare cabinets for finishing

Job Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least 2 years of related experience
