The Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for the operation, transportation, and maintenance of machinery utilized in telecommunication infrastructure projects. This includes, but is not limited to, volumetric mixers, digger derricks, backhoes/excavators, and water trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Safely transport equipment and materials, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures.
- Complete both low-level and high-level labor-intensive tasks while operating assigned construction machinery.
- Prepare daily production reports to document work activities.
- Utilize hand tools, ladders, and equipment to facilitate project completion.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas to comply with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in using hand tools and construction equipment (e.g., wrenches, drills, ladders, forklifts, saws).
- Experienced with telecom construction machinery (e.g., aerial lifts, dozers, lashers, meters, plows).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and motor vehicle record assessments.
