At UMass Memorial Health, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Lung Care Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of healing and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and obtain patients' basic health status, records, and related data according to standard procedure and needs of patient and their families.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments as ordered, and operate equipment according to policy and procedure.
  • Perform venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs, and administer vaccinations.
  • Participate in implementation and evaluation of care plan including long and short-term goals, nursing actions, and teaching.
  • Document patient care according to standard procedure. Records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to Provider and/or RN and assists in analyzing and interpreting patient data.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current Massachusetts licensure required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
