We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at CareGard Warranty Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to leverage their expertise in big data and cloud computing services to manage, process, and analyze large amounts of data from disparate data sources.

Job Description

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for delivering a big data platform, large-scale data pipelines, and streaming systems in the cloud. This includes constructing business-facing datasets from various sources, internal and external, to enable and perform analysis based on requests from project teams or senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Break down business opportunities to identify business-facing datasets to align with organizational needs through a business perspective appropriately.
  • Integrate data from multiple data sources or functional areas, evaluate data quality, and transform data as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify business trends, conduct root cause analysis of business problems, or suggest areas for process improvement.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn and stay current on best practices and emerging capabilities to analyze data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience of hands-on data engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of AWS data services such as S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Kinesis, Redshift, Glue, Athena.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or a language for processing data – preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
  • Experience with big data and the understanding of how to organize it using industry standards.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000-$160,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, company-provided life insurance and short-term disability, nine paid holidays, weekends off, paid time off, and company 'Happy Hours', birthday, and holiday celebrations.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor work visas.
