Currently, ManTech is actively seeking a dedicated, customer-focused Information Systems Security Officer I (ISSO I) to support our mission.
The primary role of the ISSO involves working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) to support critical mission areas. This position entails providing daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing, preparing, and updating accreditation packages for Automated Information Systems (AIS).
- Informing stakeholders of any changes that may impact AIS accreditation or certification.
- Conducting self-inspections of AIS, offering security coordination, and reviewing all system test plans.
- Identifying vulnerabilities within AIS and implementing necessary countermeasures.
- Representing the organization on various technical review and inspection teams.
- Conducting security assessments at subordinate facilities and compiling relevant security documentation for system accreditation packages.
- Coordinating, preparing, and tracking AIS inspections, reports, and responses.
- Maintaining security records for AIS and preparing Co-Utilization Agreements for network nodes operating in secure environments.
- Generating reports on the status of security measures applied to computer systems.
- Ensuring that AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with established security policies and practices.
- Performing ISSO duties in support of both internal and external clients.
- Assisting Department of Defense, National Agency, and Contractor organizations with certification and accreditation (C&A) efforts.
- Reviewing, tracking, and conducting AIS training.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience related to SAPs is highly preferred.
- Must meet position and certification requirements as outlined in DoD Directive M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of hire.
- Completion of training on Joint Security Implementation Guidance (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) is required.
- Familiarity with security policies/manuals and relevant ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals is essential.
- US Citizenship is mandatory.
- Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility is required.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs is necessary.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively collaborate with various DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Demonstrated originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
- Frequent operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Regular communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100-$122,100. Factors influencing final salary include Contract Wage Determination, relevant experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications. ManTech also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, retirement savings, and professional development opportunities.
