Division Director of Neurogenetics at The Ohio State University

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Department of Neurology is seeking an exceptional investigator at the Associate or Full Professor level to lead a new Division of Neurogenetics. This leadership position will be under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Segal, MD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology, and Director of the Neuroscience Research Institute.
The creation of a new Division of Neurogenetics offers a broad array of clinical, research, and educational opportunities. The Division Director will develop a clinical and research infrastructure that fosters integration and collaboration between physicians, genetic counselors, and basic researchers focused on Neurogenetics, as well as collaborate with other investigators in the Division of Human Genetics (Internal Medicine), Neurological Institute, and Neuroscience Research Institute at The Ohio State University.
The Division Director position comes with a start-up package that will support the candidate's personal research program and allow the recruitment of additional bench scientists, physician scientists, genetic counselors, and clinical staff in Neurogenetics. The position is located on the OSUWMC main campus.
The ideal candidate will be a national leader in the field of neurogenetics, with a strong track record of extramural funding, mentorship, and translational research. They will have demonstrated leadership skills in building innovative programs and recruiting and retaining faculty. Additionally, they will have a prior commitment to recruitment, development, and retention of women, underserved minorities, and individuals with disabilities.
