Position Overview:

Role Summary:
The Financial Analyst will oversee the coordination, evaluation, and analysis of financial data across various assigned programs. This role is essential in ensuring the precision of accounting information and the timely reporting of grants. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing expenses and managing grants.
- Preparing financial reports and budgets.
- Conducting audits and ensuring compliance.
- Managing cash flow and procurement activities.
This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Program Finance. Due to the nature of the role, participation in Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) will be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate historical financial data to assist management in strategic financial planning.
- Ensure the accuracy of account balances and uphold proper accounting controls.
- Support year-end audits and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
- Forecast future trends and develop long-term operational and cash flow analyses.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Conduct indirect cost analyses as needed.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field, along with two years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least five years of relevant financial experience.
- Proficiency in computerized general ledger systems (preferably MS Dynamics and QuickBooks).
- Experience with international business transactions.
- Familiarity with U.S. Government regulations, particularly USAID.
- Professional finance certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is a plus.
- Experience in finance and accounting functions, including accounts payable, cash management, auditing, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in developing grant budget proposals and managing grants.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Remote Work:
This position offers the flexibility to work from home regularly, with the requirement to commute as needed based on business demands. All non-exempt employees must reside within the state of Georgia.
